Atmosphere, good food excellent prices

Food and service were great. They are doing a super job with social distancing and mask wearing.

Nice family restaurant. Had a good breakfast of scrambled eggs with hash browns and veggie omelet with country potatoes. From my standpoint the country potatoes with lots of peppers and mushrooms was the star of the meal. In one of those rare occasions the decaffeinated coffee was better than the plain, hands down. Service was good. Would stop again

The food was good cannot say anything about the food, congratulations to the chef and one of the employees that was fairly nice with us. This is the first time in a couple years since I didn't feel welcome in a restaurant. Even felt harassed some of the people that work there. I heard bad rumors from other people before. But I wanted to give it a tried. Totally disappointed. I will never bring my family or friends to this establishment again.

Look at the cheese on that collapsing around the patty. Yum. The onion rings have good onion thickness and the batter is fried just short of crunchy. Perfectly prepared breakfast!

It's a great place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. Facility is clean. Food is fresh and delicious.

Our kids are now off living their own lives, but Ichabod's remains very much the same as it was when we would stop there back in the grade school days. All kinds of standards remain on the menu, served by friendly folks. I recall hot dogs being served as race cars to the kids, with carrots being used as wheels. I didn't notice these on the menu on our most recent visit, but I wouldn't be surprised if they still make 'em.

Been coming here for years (really the only traditional breakfast spot in Scappoose). Above all else their service is what keeps us coming back though. Besides that they have:- decent value- family friendly- good sized portions- good selection- really good hashbrowns- avoid the mushrooms, they are canned - seating area is a bit cramped, but thats to be expected considering how popular they are

The staff always greets us, remembers our favorite orders & keeps our coffee hot☕

Some of the meat was cold in the inside by the bone, they took an amount off the bill for that, no one got sick too so.. They will do better next time. the cook is still pretty good everyone is nice. I have been here now three times. It's my bfs family's favorite place.

Food was great. Our server was busy but remained attentive and pleasant.

Staff is super friendly. We were laughing so hard that one of the staff thanked us because they enjoyed listening to us laugh.

I met up with my daughter and her family a couple years ago on the way to the coast. I really like family businesses and this one makes everyone feel at home. Now I always stop on my way.

Been here quite a few times and service isn't always that great or fast and the menu has decent amount of options. Food is always pretty good and delicious though. Temperature is always nice and I absolutely love the waffles and I'm really picky on my waffles. This is the only place where I'll order waffles.

This has been such a wonderful gathering place for families for 40 years or better.

Good, classic home cooking. Understaffed in the front of the restaurant, the two servers had way too many tables to wait on. Food is always good and consistent. Had a party melt that was delicious.

Sad that my first time at your restaurant was during this time. But, the crew was very responsive, polite and professional. The food was great, and the chicken strips were huge.

Been here many times, it's the most stripped down American diner food that you'd expect. Inexpensive, very large serving sizes, the servers are usually super friendly and helpful.They serve breakfast all day, which is usually what I get. I think only one time did I get an incorrect order (I asked for french toast and got pancakes, but I didn't say anything partly because pancakes are fine, but mostly because that's the kind of person I am--I'm sure they would have immediately rectified it and probably taken it off my bill).I will only caution that this place is really popular with the "honored citizen" crowd, and on weekends, and ESPECIALLY Sundays, breakfast/brunch time, they get really busy and you may have a wait.If you're looking for simple, humble, no frills, tasty Americana food for a very decent price, you'll be quite pleased to dine here.

Eaten here several times...there could be a wait at peak times, but worth the wait. Milk is served ice cold and super fresh here! Love that...

Reminds me of what a real breakfast place used to be. Fresh food and lots of it in a 60s environment. Its not purposeful but just never been changed much. A true rural gem.

New to town, We were So Impressed with Ichabod's Restaurant. The Food was absolutely Amazing, and the wait staff were all very efficient and wonderfully polite.

Good old comfort food in a small community environment. All meals fit the bill so go there anytime. Locally owned and operated. I go there when I'm in the area.

Wonderful, inventive, and unique food. The staff was very friendly, attending to every need within moments. Would highly recommend this place!

It is not great. But for me and my family it is a convenient place to get some simple breakfast food when we are feeling lazy and tired of the bagel shop across the parking lot.I always do eggs, hash browns (well done), toast and sausage. Simple and safe.In my experience they don't really season anything, which I imagine is in part due to the crowd that tends toward the elderly. Salt is bad!Service is usually quick and friendly.Don't go expecting awesome food like Tastys and you won't be too disappointed.

A little slow on the service, but friendly. . My hubby really enjoyed his chicken taco salad, but I was disappointed with my chef salad. They charge $12 for bagged lettuce an a little bit of cheese, ham & turkey lunch meat. The ranch dressing was also too salty. I liked their decor. Very cozy.
